About Big Air Clothing
Big Air Clothing is an adventure clothing brand owned by husband-and-wife team, Gary Paterson and Liz Paterson.
The brand came to life through to a sense of adventure shared by Gary and Liz. This passion also lives within their children, Violet and Arthur who are both actively involved brand, shop and business.
As passionate snowboarders and mountain bikers the family embarked on the journey with a clear vision of producing a clothing brand that was inspired by their own life adventures. It stands as a reflection of their desire to live life to the fullest and embrace every moment.
The passion powers the brand which has grown to a successful online business along with a physical store in Perth.
Co-Owner, Gary Paterson is an experienced graphic designer and, along with Liz, also own, T’Go Creative Limited - a Graphic Design, Website Design, Print and Digital Marketing Agency, also based in Perth, Scotland.
Gary and Liz, along with the in-house team, design, print and fulfil all orders from their studio at 58 Watergate, Perth.
The clothing is bought locally in-store and online products are shipped across the UK along with sales into Europe and beyond.
The growth of Big Air Clothing inspired further brands including: TRNAir Activewear, Never Grounded and Sum of All Clothing.
Big Air Clothing
The original brand inspired by the adventures of Gary and Liz. A staple comfortable brand offering high quality organic fabrics coupled with bright vibrant colourways that are designed to be worn on your everyday adventures.
If you're hitting the slopes, heading for the beach, hiking through the woods, meeting friends in the pub or just running errands around town, Big Air Clothing has got you covered for all of life’s BIG adventures.
Big Air Clothing is a Quicksilver alternative, a billabong alternative and more recently a Passenger Clothing alternative. Stand out from the crowds in something different!
TRNAir Activewear
After the introduction of Big Air Clothing, the most commonly asked question was related to Gym, Activewear and Leisurewear.
And so, the TRN Activewear brand was launched in January 2025. The designs, styles and materials share similarities to the big brands but designed to offer a Gymshark alternative and a Sweaty Betty alternative, with differences that make them stand out in the market space.
Gary quotes “I wear TRNAir Activewear to the gym every day and it’s the most comfortable gym wear that I have ever worn. The phone pocket in the mens shorts is nothing short of genius!”
Never Grounded
Never Grounded was introduced as an alternative to White Fox Hoodies and a Pretty Little Thing Hoodies that are seen on almost every teenage girl.
With modern drop-shoulders, oversized fit, hidden pockets and subtle colourways, Never Grounded fits the target market perfectly.
Never grounded offers the ideal White Fox Alternative and Pretty Little Thing Alternative. It is an ideal option for those looking for something different and, as our customers tell us, at a higher quality at a similar price.
Sum of All Clothing
Sum of All Clothing was introduced as a Represent Alternative and a Fear of God Essentials Alternative.
Targeting at a similar market as Represent and Essentials, Sum of All offers the wearer something different, something that stands out in a saturated market where everybody is wearing the same.
Sum of All is a luxury British clothing brand designed to be an extension of the wearers style, an expression of who they are and to show they are different, they want to stand out and they demand attention.
